Anna Mutoh is a freelance journalist with published work in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, and Japan’s NewsPicks. She was also a producer for The Closer by Project Brazen, a New York Times recommended podcast about deals that shaped the world. Anna earned her master's degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism where she was a Toni Stabile fellow for investigative journalism, and her bachelor's degree from Duke University. Anna has extensive experience working in the financial industry where she held the position of Vice President and Executive Director at Goldman Sachs, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and at a multi-billion-dollar hedge fund. Anna is passionate about following the money for answers, women’s rights, and equality. She is a native Japanese and English speaker, a triathlete, and currently lives in New York City.
